Holland Partner Group is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Associate to join our Construction and Development Accounting Team. We are seeking a team player with a strong work ethic that offers exceptional communication skills, attention to detail, and excellent follow through. The Holland Team consists of Associates that demonstrate strong leadership, communication, team:building, and decision:making skills. Audits expense codes such as invoices, vouchers, expense reports, check requests, etc., with correct codes conforming to standard procedures to ensure proper entry into the financial system. Verifies approval on all invoices and check requests.Processes invoices and AIA applications. Investigates and resolves problems associated with processing of invoices. Ability to prepare and process checks for multi companies.Ability to process and follow:up on rush items.Assists with weekly reports and monthly closings. Reconciles various accounts by identifying errors in posting or omissions by applying appropriate accounting standards. Receives, researches and resolves a variety of routine internal and external inquiries concerning account status, including communicating the resolution of discrepancies to appropriate persons. Files, maintains, and distributes accounting documents, records and reports. Assists in 1099 preparation.Assist Construction Accountant in gathering Draw documents/invoices on a monthly basis.Performs other duties as required to support Construction/Development Accounting Department. Assist Construction Accountant track 20:day preliminary notices, lien waivers, Conditional and Unconditional releases. Proficient with MS Word and Excel; Yardi experience desired.Ability to prioritize and to multi:task in a fast:paced environment.Ability to handle confidential information in a discreet, professional manner.Strong customer service orientation.Excellent organizational and analytical skills.Eye for detail and accuracy.Ability to be an effective team member and display initiative.Familiarity with construction accounting a plus. Experience: 2+ years of Accounts Payable experience.High school diploma required; college courses in accounting preferred. Physical requirements:Ability to lift, push and pull up to 20lbs.Hearing and visual ability to observe and detect signs of emergency situation required.
