Director of Finance
We provide medical treatment, teach parenting skills, carry out research and manage health records. We cook, we write, we keep CODA's buildings safe and clean. We run group counseling sessions, manage payroll, hire, train and support our 300 colleagues working in several locations in Multnomah, Clackamas and Washington Counties. We are counselors, nurses, maintenance workers, accountants, leaders, medical assistants, case managers, administrative staff and doctors.
Come join the leadership team of this fast-paced and rapidly growing company. This position provides leadership and oversight of all financial and accounting matters and is responsible for the development and implementation of strategies to ensure the financial sustainability of the organization.

Areas of Responsibility include:
 Manages, trains and motivates entire accounting and revenue teams.
 Directs and drives financial management and reporting for organization.
 Demonstrates the skills and behaviors of a successful leader to support a culture of collaboration and accountability, service excellence and a commitment to continuous process improvement.

Duties include motivating and influencing, setting/communicating expectations, developing strategy for the future of the organization, and supporting a culture of open and honest communication.

 Budget development and implementation.
 Oversees all audit/tax and banking relationships.
 Oversees all payer relationships with key fiscal intermediaries, government oversight agencies and contracted health plans and participates in discussions relating to contract and/or rate negotiations.
 Provides oversight for the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures and ensure internal controls are implemented and followed.
 Oversees initiatives to improve revenue cycle operations, that favorably impact accounts receivable, cash acceleration and net revenue.
 Prepares short and long-term financial forecasts of performance for management and Board of Directors.
 Performs financial planning and analysis of business segments to evaluate profitability, sustainability, pricing, and expense analysis.
 Manages the organization’s cash flow and prepare cash forecasts to assist the organization with long range planning and strategic investment.
 Manages investment portfolios pursuant to investment policies and with assistance with external investment advisors.
 Performs financial modeling to evaluate current and new business segments for health, scalability and profitability to support business decision making.
 Implements efficiencies, process improvements and develop accountability within the Revenue and Accounting Departments.

Minimum Qualifications:
 Bachelor degree in finance, accounting or healthcare administration, Master’s degree preferred.
 Minimum of ten years “hands-on” experience in senior accounting roles with emphasis on leading accounting teams preferably in a non-profit or healthcare environment.
 Experience managing accounting, budgeting, revenue and billing cycles, and reporting for a complex agency with multiple funding sources and multiple sites.
 Experience managing revenue cycle management and healthcare billing.
 Ability to collaborate and communicate with senior management and Board of Directors to present financial information.
 Proven experience developing and implementing budgets and financial management strategies.
 Passion for getting things done and an appreciation for details. Vision for building continual process improvement and efficiencies.
 Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills as well as effective leadership and communication skills.
