Director of Network Development
GridWorks IC seeks a transportation professional to join our leadership team as Director of Transportation. The position is responsible for building, fostering, and cultivating a high-performance network of third-party transportation providers. This position will report directly to the CEO and work collaboratively with other key leaders to implement systems and improve the quality of NEMT services delivered. This position requires a strong understanding of contract and regulatory requirements pertinent to drivers, vehicles, and transportation subcontractors in the Ride to Care network. The Director of Transportation will serve as the point of contact for all third-party transportation providers and represent GridWorks IC and partnered health plans to the community.

Collaborate with CEO and various department leadership to create systems that prioritize safe working practices
Design and lead a team of network development specialists to carry out the work of network management and assist in responsibilities
Recruit, screen and verify credentials of third-party transportation providers including:
An open solicitation processes (Requests For Qualifications & Requests For Proposals)
Application material review
Service agreement negotiation
Develop internal and external systems, policies, and procedures maintaining compliance with contract/regulatory requirements of network and individual transportation providers including:
Annual ad hoc vehicle inspections and compliance/site visits
Code of conduct
Emergency, inclement weather, and disaster preparedness planning
Fraud, waste, and abuse prevention
No-show and performance tracking
Provider education and corrective action
Scheduling and dispatch procedures
Quality improvement initiatives
Cultural competency

Minimum 5 years’ experience in management and operations preferably in human services, healthcare, or transportation.
Ability to organize and analyze data drawn from reports, spreadsheets and databases to identify and track trends
High level of commitment to safety and safe working practices
Strong proficiency in use of software such as Microsoft Office, Google Apps for Business and web-based technologies (such as Box, Google Drive, etc.)
Ability to communicate clearly, both written and orally, with employees and leadership in group presentations and meetings
Sensitivity to the needs and situations of a multi-cultural community and network of providers
Strong interpersonal skills
Ability to prioritize and plan work activities and competing timelines effectively
Passing of criminal background check

Bachelor’s degree
A proven track record of effectively supporting and communicating with internal/external stakeholders
Experience reading, understanding, interpreting and implementing federal, state and local regulations pertaining to NEMT in a Medicaid Managed Care context.
