PeaceHealth is seeking a
Quality Coordinator for a
1.0 full time equivalent
Non:Exempt position. This position will be working

JOB SUMMARY
Coordinates a variety of special projects, incoming issues and concerns; research, prioritize and follow up by determining appropriate course of action, referral or response. Ensure deadlines are met and projects are brought to successful completion. Assists in the planning, design and implementation of project or project elements that support service delivery; participates in processes to define scope and schedule; participates in implementation process.
Prepares administrative, operational and financial reports by querying, combining and reporting data from multiple sources to display into meaningful reports that supports process and performance improvement.
Represents PeaceHealth Quality and Safety internally and externally through verbal (phone) and written correspondence.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
:Responsible to coordinate review of requests for clarification and quality improvement concerns from multiple external agencies including but not limited to Medical Quality Improvement Organizations, Insurance companies and benefit companies. Must ensure appropriate delegation to achieve timely response.
:Responsible for performing a variety of duties relative to assigned area of responsibility and for providing administrative support for leadership to facilitate the efficient and smooth operation of the department in accordance with approved regulatory, quality and department standards.
:Responsible for timely submission and organized electronic filing of diverse regulatory documents including Hospital License, and accreditation documents. Requires extreme attention to detail, accuracy and skill in multiple computer applications and web based tools.
:Interacts with a diverse population of executives, leadership, caregivers, governing board members, community professionals and external resources, to address inquiries and work with key stakeholders to respond appropriately.
:Acts as resource to caregivers and management in project issues and able to communicate effectively with customers throughout the organization.
:Composes, produces, and facilitates timely distribution of various correspondences with a high degree of accuracy, efficiency and professionalism.
:Plans, coordinates and facilitates support for quality, safety, and operational improvement initiatives managed within the department.
:Responsible to handle and respond to highly confidential information in relation to audit/survey results, patient concerns and incident reporting information in a responsive respectful manner that addresses the need and protects patient's confidentiality/privacy and hospital's privacy.
:Participates in the development, implementation, and administration of improvement initiatives.
:Identifies opportunities for improvement; makes recommendations which will result in favorable outcomes that support organizational goals and stewardship of resources.
:Designs and Develops tracking documents to facilitate workflow for accurate and successful completion of assignments/projects using multiple computer applications and web based tools.
:Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION:
:Bachelor's degree; or equivalent knowledge and skills obtained through a combination of education, training and experience that provides the caregiver with the ability to perform the job required.
EXPERIENCE/TRAINING:
:Minimum five years of related work experience in healthcare field required with increased experience performing project coordination.
OTHER SKILLS:
:Excellent computer skills including Web based applica
