Position Overview:
This full:time contract Business Analyst 3 position is located in our clients Transmission Commercial System Management (TSR) organization within Transmission Marketing and Sales (TS), under Transmission Services (T) business line. The TSR organization represents and supports our clients commercial transmission business by defining, measuring, and monitoring processes, implementation and systems. The group monitors and participates in the development of industry regulations and standards. They seek continuous improvements in response to industry standards, new technology, and efficiency improvements. The team applies sound process management, project management, decision support and data stewardship practices in managing the business processes, information, and tools that are necessary to effectively conduct transmission commercial business.

This Business Analyst position is responsible for the analytical support of continuous improvement efforts utilizing various improvement methodologies, to include, process/project management, Six Sigma, LEAN, PDCA (Plan Do Check Act), and DMAIC (Design, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) models to assist in helping business leaders define, align and implement organizational design strategies. The position is located in Vancouver, Washington.

Position Responsibilities include:

:Provides analysis and support in the development / draft and recommendation of tools for organizational alignment, strategic content, alignment of capabilities and work, and a roadmap for success.
:Researches background and interview end:users, stakeholders and other interested internal parties (customers) to gather and understand customer / end:user requirements, which may include software solutions and/or business process, procedure or workflow development; presents solution recommendations for management, executive, stakeholder consideration and approval.
:Researches and analyzes potential solutions and the potential impacts of solution options; presents solution options, associated impacts / risks and weighted recommendations, including incorporation of team input.
:Plans, coordinates and facilitates team working sessions to analyze and document/map current state processes and value streams, and future state processes and value streams.
:Provides analysis and assists organizational teams in developing and recommending targeted measurement tools to measure business performance and the success of process improvements being implemented.
:Collaborates with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), other analysts, specialists and teams to perform root cause analysis and lessons learned, as part of identifying opportunities business or process improvement strategies.
:Supports the structure for, facilitates the planning of, and provides assistance with development / draft, recommendation and implementation of management approved initiatives, studies, analyses, and projects supporting business and process analysis and continuous improvement efforts.
:Evaluates and assesses business process change impacts and recommends appropriate change mitigation activities.
