The Windows OS WOS Team is searching for passionate and energetic OS Software Engineers. In this position, you will be responsible for developing, researching, and analyzing operating system software enhancements for Microsoft operating systems OS related to ISA, Storage, IOT and Memory technologies. Your Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Analyzing and evaluating system and processor errata for current systems and future Intel processors and platforms.
  • Researching, implementing and driving adoption of optimized alternatives and algorithms for Windows OS storage and Core OS.
  • These optimizations will involve security and performance optimizations and feature enhancements to support advanced Intel's microprocessors, devices and platforms.
  • Reviewing and enabling processor and platform features for core Windows* OS and storage products.
  • Defining and driving processor and platform features and architecture definition into future Intel processors and platforms.


You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through relevant previous school, industry jobs and/or research experience.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Candidate must possess a minimum of a MS or BS in Computer Engineering, or other relevant degree. 5+ years of development with C/C++ programming languages.
  • Understanding of Computer Architecture and Assembly language programming.
  • 5+ years' experience developing Operating Systems and/or Drivers.
  • Direct experience with Windows OS is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of Operating System concepts
  • Strong debugging skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Direct experience with Windows OS is a plus.
  • x86 experience is a plus
