Postdoctoral Research Associate

Description

The Power Electronics and Energy Research Laboratory (P2E-Lab) in the School of Engineering and Computer Science at Washington State University Vancouver is seeking a postdoctoral research associate to support all activities connected with research projects and laboratory capcapability development.

Primary Responsibilities and Expectations

The postdoctoral research associate will provide support on research projects; theoretical development, modeling and simulation, and laboratory hardware development; collaborate with graduate student; and publish the results of the research produced.

Preferred Appropriate qualifications:

Preference will be given to those with broad hands-on practice in design, development and control of low to medium-power power electronic converters and demonstrated research interests in the following: DC-DC, AC-DC, and DC-AC power conversion; power electronics for electric vehicles; grid integration of renewable energy sources and energy storage; AC and DC micro-grids.

Excellent oral and written communication expertise are desired. The Postdoctoral Research Associate is expected to work independently and within a team to deliver results, according to deadlines.
This is a temporary 9-month position which may be renewed contingent upon satisfactory progress and funding.
