Supplemental Healthcare has a position available for an Assistive Technology Consultant to work in the Portland area. This position is .8 FTE or 32 hours per week for the 2017-2018 school year. This position serves Special Education students ages K-21 with severe and profound developmental disabilities including students who are medically fragile and others who have ASD. Must have two years experience in selecting and using assistive technology devices including computer peripheral devices, related software, voice output communication aids and environmental access devices for children or adults with special needs. Requirements: This position is available for either: Valid Oregon Teaching License with at least one of the following endorsements for K -12: experience with Communication Disorders, Speech Impaired, Handicapped Learner and/or Special Education Valid Oregon State Board of Examiners license in one of the following areas: Speech Language Pathologist or Occupational Therapist Valid Healthcare provider CPR Blended class Associated topics: behavioral analysis, dhh, disabilities, handicapped, hard, hosptalization, mental health, special education, special need education, substance abuse
