Position Summary
This position is a key management position responsible for the building and equipment infra:structure for the company including plan/purchase/maintenance of manufacturing equipment as well as facility management of manufacturing, corporate office, retail, and offsite warehouse areas/buildings. Management of the manufacturing maintenance and janitorial teams. This position is also responsible for all DEQ, EPA, and OR:OSHA compliance as well as Environmental Health and Safety for the company.
Specific Responsibilities
* Assists with the qualification, acquisition and buildout of new facilities.
* Manages remodel projects. Hires and oversees contracts with outside vendors for maintenance and construction needs.
* Participates in manufacture operational planning.
* Establishes and monitors expenses related to the efficient operations and maintenance of all manufacturing equipment and facilities including capital improvements, maintenance, tools, supplies, utilities, safety, security, and repairs.
* Has direct supervisory responsibility for Manufacturing and Facilities maintenance and janitorial teams :: hiring, performance management (performance evaluations, discipline, coaching), training, scheduling, timekeeping, daily prioritization of tasks, etc.
* Ensures a clean, safe, and healthy work environment for employees. Drives safety compliance and initiatives for all facilities. Conduct Safety and Health Assessments and works with the management team to address deficiencies. Develop and implement injury prevention and regulatory compliance processes
* Coordinates vehicle fleet maintenance and identifies comprehensive transportation needs.
* Coordinates and administers building security systems and external security companies to properly safeguard employees, buildings and assets.
* 2:3 years of experience in a management:level role related to Equipment Maintenance and/or Facilities Management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
* 2:3 years of experience in a management:level role related to Environmental Health and Safety, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
* Prior experience of budgeting and forecasting
* Solid understanding of manufacturing processes
* Basic knowledge of historic buildings and maintenance practices
* Hazardous Material management experience
* Prior knowledge and experience with DEQ, EPA, and OSHA regulations and compliance
* Experience implementing and managing Environmental Health and Safety, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
* Degree in Occupational Safety is a plus.
