Maintenance Planner
Planner position is responsible for the effective execution of all maintenance work control processes. He/she reports to the Plant Engineer for the efficient and effective use of planning and scheduling all resources to conduct maintenance activities which result in minimum downtime and maximum productivity. In order to fulfill these responsibilities in the most effective manner, the Planner is empowered to manage work priority, develop job plans, define parts and material, define crafts and skills and engage the proper resources to develop a safe, effective and efficient work control plan. In addition, the Planner provides the equipment:related expertise and technical guidance on improving Preventive Maintenance activities.
:Manage and schedule maintenance activities such as inspections, instrument calibrations, and equipment preventive maintenance and validation assessments along with coordinating project workload.
:Prepare and maintain a daily / weekly / monthly maintenance schedule.
:Plan all activities associated with planned plant outages under the direction of the Plant Engineer to provide for maximum use of available resources.
:Recommend the need for and aid in securing the scheduling of outside resources on an as needed basis.
:Advise when a scheduled maintenance downtime should be rescheduled and communicate and coordinate new plan.
:Communicate regularly with operations and maintenance to be aware of engineering projects. Maintain the Projects Log
:Provide input to management and suggest improvements for efficiency.
:Responsible for notifying supervisor/manager of any problems or issues with inventory, planning and scheduling.
:Complete any and all tasks assigned by
:Utilize preventive maintenance systems to reduce unscheduled downtime. Manage the Preventive Maintenance Program. Hold weekly meetings with Plant Engineer and Plant Manager.
:Use computer:based programs to support effective prioritization of maintenance requests, manage maintenance inventory, and delegate maintenance resources.
:Performing administrative duties in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
:Track purchases and Purchases in QuickBooks or other software.
:Work order tracking. Opening and closing / tracking work orders in excel.
:Directing and executing the sites proactive maintenance program.
:Preparing site maintenance performance data as required.
:Conducting and maintaining the inventory of all spare parts and sourcing the replacement of parts and services as needed.
:Developing, maintaining, and continuously improving the preventive maintenance program.
:Scheduling all planned maintenance activity at the site.
:Purchasing materials: locally and internationally through contacts in Asia by phone.
:Ability to speak and write / write in Chinese would be helpful.
Experience Required: 3 years of experience in a related field
Education Required: Apprenticeship program or technical school.
