PeaceHealth is seeking a Dir Specialty Service Lines - Neurosciences Admin for a 1.0 full time equivalent Exempt position. This position will be working Day shift with shift durations of 8 Hours.

JOB SUMMARY

The Director of Specialty Service Lines is responsible for the successful strategic planning, development, implementation and growth of assigned service lines. This position also oversees the operation and growth of other medical group and/or hospital services/departments as assigned. Develops and operationalizes business plans and strategies for areas of responsibility to ensure alignment with PeaceHealth's mission and organizational objectives. Collaborates with leadership throughout PeaceHealth align standards and practices.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

* Responsible for developing and implementing strategic service line business plans in multiple arenas, driving service line growth and improving operations in terms of quality and processes. Implements similar strategies for other assigned hospital services/departments or medical group practices. Ensures alignment of plans and strategies with PeaceHealth's mission and organization objectives.

* Develops and implements cost-savings procedures, authorizes and monitors budget expenditures and manages the budget planning process for assigned areas of responsibilities. Examines, analyzes and implements innovative solutions to increase productivity and quality.

* Leads and directs the work of leaders in multiple service line areas and other assigned areas to insure effectiveness of staff duties including hiring/termination decisions, performance management, training, coaching and mentoring. Analyzes department resource requirements and develops plans staffing levels.

* Resolves escalated, complex issues and questions. Ensures compliance with all organizational policies, state and federal laws and other regulatory agencies.

* Leads or participates in projects, task forces and committees in area of expertise that drive innovation, quality, value and/or better service to customers and caregivers.

* Serves as a liaison to physicians, practices, staff and community for communicating best practices, business development and addressing operational or administrative issues which allows growth of the business.

* Plan, develop, implement and evaluate new patient care programs and practice models including identification of clinical objectives, capital and other resource requirements, expected operating revenues and expenses, allocation of space and organization of program personnel and other operation components.

* Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION:

* Bachelor's Degree in healthcare or related field is required.

* Masters in Business Administration, Nursing or Health Administration or Doctor of Medicine degree from an accredited School of Medicine is desirable.

EXPERIENCE/TRAINING:

* Six years applicable experience with at least four years in progressive senior leadership experience in health care administration.

* Experience in medical group administration required.

* Considerable knowledge of clinical practice and related laws and regulations.

LICENSURE

* N/A

OTHER SKILLS:

* Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.

* Strong leadership and mentoring skills.

* Ability to function within and enhance a supportive team approach with patients, families, caregivers, community providers and agencies.

* Proficient computer skills including MS Office applications.

SOUTHWEST PHYSICAL/COGNITIVE ABILITIES

* Work requires normal amounts of physical effort at least 66% of the time.

* Ability to lift objects weighing 50 lbs. or less.

* Work is performed under normal working conditions with adequate lighting and ventilation. Reasonably anticipated exposure to blood and body fluids.

* Job duties frequently require intense concentration and attention to detail (34-65% of work time).
