Job Description
PATTERN MAKER
The pattern maker coordinates with the engineering and manufacturing departments to produce pattern equipment for Sulzer pumps to fabricate any cast part needed for our manufactured product. After the engineering department designs a part and produces drawings, the pattern maker designs and builds tooling that the foundry can use to produce the parts.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
:Interpret engineering drawings for the purpose of building pattern equipment for foundry use in the casting process. Must be able to work with wood, metal, fiberglass, and composite pattern materials.
:Processes incoming orders and maintains pattern use and location records.
QUALIFICATIONS:
:Journeymans certification of qualification or five years experience in pattern production
:Good working knowledge of hand an power tools related to pattern making
:Good communication skills
:Working knowledge of computers
:High school diploma or equivalent
:Ability to operate a forklift
:Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
:Works with outside pattern suppliers as required.
:Provides requested pattern status information as required.
:Supports, cooperates with, and participates in company:wide LEAN and EHS Management System which includes following all safety, health and environmental policies and procedures. Supports and cooperates in company:wide Quality Management effort.
:Adheres to company and department policies, procedures, and standards
:Performs other duties as assigned.
SHIFT
:Monday : Friday, 7:00am:3:30pm
PAY
:24.00 to 29.00/hour, DOECompany Description
