Provide care to the elders living in the Green House home and care for their environment by doing laundry, cooking, and housekeeping. Protect, sustain and nurture the elders by providing assistance with activities of daily living (A.D.L.s) and meeting other needs as required. Provide assistance in such a manner as to promote a high quality of life. Coordinate all aspects of the self-managed work team.

Promoting a Real Home experience through compassion and respect, the Shahbaz will bring a perspective that includes the blending of self-awareness, self-management, social awareness and relationship management. It is these relationships that contribute to a pathway to a life worth living.

CNA shifts may be part or full time and any shift or combination of shifts. Will work together as a self managed work team to write a schedule that works for the group.

Responsibilities: The role of the Shahbaz is to protect, sustain, and nurture the residents by providing assistance with Activities of Daily Living and in accordance with regulations and the established policies and procedures of Cedar Sinai Park to assure that the highest degree of quality resident care can be maintained at all times.

C.N.A. duties at a Green House are overseen by and accountable to the team of Shahbazim where as in a traditional organization they are told what to do by management and are accountable to this entity. The Team of Shahbazim at the Green House are multi-skilled, handling the management of the home as well as caring for and building relationships with the Elders. Additional training is received to prepare staff for handling these duties. In a traditional setting C.N.A. are isolated specialists working under many levels of management with limited information. The Shahbazim and the Elders are partners in the decisions made in the homes with a high level of commitment to quality care and meaningful living.

Qualifications: Valid CNA license, CPR certified, ability to obtain food handlers card within 30 days. Willing and able to complete Green House education.
