Are you a delightful human being? Do you play the drums? Do you enjoy collaborating with others? Can you commit to rehearsals ~2x/week? Do you enjoy performing for a live audience? Can you contribute to band expenses (i.e., rent practice space and recording costs when working on new albums)?

Bonjour! We're The Mighty Missoula; we play Instrumental Post-Rock Music.

We became a three-piece back in the fall of 2015. We spent half of 2016 writing and recording our first album. We've since been playing live shows and writing new material. We're having a lot of fun.

...but sadly, we have a big change to navigate this summer.

Zoe, our delightful drummer, will be departing Portland and the band to head to grad school in Canada. We're going to miss the hell out of her.

Having said that -- we're starting to audition drummers and would like to meet you.

You can hear some of our music on Bandcamp/Spotify/iTunes/Soundcloud. Here are a few links:

Do you enjoy what you're hearing? Do you think you could pick this up and make it your own? Do you see yourself performing in this type of band? (We get that it's a niche genre... we dig it... and we hope you do, too)

Influences for this project range between Mogwai, MONO (Japan), Sigur Ros, This Will Destroy You, Modest Mouse, Godspeed! You Black Emperor, Caspian, Explosions in the Sky...

Timeline wise -- we're currently meeting with a few drummers. We have a few shows coming up in July and then we're going to wish Zoe goodbye and focus on writing + getting our new drummer (you?) up to speed. We'd like to start gigging again by October, if possible.

Anyhow, if this sounds like something you'd be interested in and think you'd be able to contribute to our project, we'd love to meet you. Please introduce yourself, share some links to previous work, and give us a sense of what your availability looks like in the near future.
