If you can work every station, take pride in every dish that leaves your kitchen, can manage one night and work on a team the next, then you're our next hire. Compensation includes a salary of $34,000 to start + bonuses and gratuities, Health & vision insurance and paid vacation time.

We are open Tuesday-Saturday unless rented out for a banquet on Sunday or Monday. Banquets are a very big part of what we do, with the holidays (just past) seeing about 1/4 of our kitchen output for the year.
Your primary job is to take responsibility for all non-banquet food (bar food & dinner specials). Our Michelin-trained Executive Chef is at our other location and 75% of prep for bar food is done there. Dinner specials are up to you.
Your secondary job is to work under the direction of our Banquet Chef who coordinates prep and production between both locations and the execution/service of banquets at Uptown.
There will be slow nights when you will have the kitchen to yourself. There will be busier nights when you are leading other cooks. There will be unbelievably busy nights when you will be working under chefs and on a larger team. This kind of inconsistency can be fun but it requires intellectual and emotional flexibility on your part.
