The Inside Sales Lead for EDT Corp/Timkenis responsible for providing leadership, coaching, mentoring, training, and all aspects of performance management for Inside Sales team members to ensure the team is a high performing group that, working together, consistently meets or exceeds the company's sales goals and growth expectations. As such, the role manages daily activities and workflow of the team, overseeing all of the sales and support functions to maximize performance and results. The role is a "working" lead role and is also responsible for assigned territories. The Inside Sales Lead works in collaboration with the National Business Development Specialist for technical consultation, reports to and collaborates with the Business Manager for consultation and support.
EDT Corp produces specialized bearing products used widely in the food and beverage industry. Partnership with Territory Managers (TM)
:Share a quota in assigned geographic territories and be responsible for jointly developing appropriate territory strategy
:At a minimum, responsible for managing Tier 3 end user and channel distributors in A and B markets, all end user channel distributors in C markets and respective channel partners
:Responsible for teaming with TM in retaining and growing OEM customer base business
:Work with the TM in a defined strategic role in national accounts, as determined by the TM
:Work all small opportunities and deals
:Responsible for shared territory lead generation, qualification and assignment to appropriate team member (i.e. Tier 1,2,3 account)
:Partners with TMs, acting as project manager on rollout of premier distributors
:Responsible for shared territory management of trial bearings
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
:Develop and build a high:performing Inside Sales team by providing ongoing coaching for new and existing team members
:Monitor employee productivity and motivate team to achieve its goals by driving activity and results
:Manage performance of inside sales team by monitoring job results, providing ongoing performance feedback to the team, sharing results publicly or privately as appropriate, providing counseling and disciplinary action, as necessary.
:Evaluate and improve inside sales practices and procedures
:Facilitate communication within the team and with the larger sales organization
:Hold the team accountable to maintain and improve quality results by following standards; recommending improved policies and procedures. Strive for the team to excel at all measured areas of performance
:Continuously update job knowledge by studying new product descriptions and coordinating and participating in educational opportunities.
:Accomplish department and organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
:As an individual contributor on Inside Sales team:
:Attain assigned territory quotas by soliciting and obtaining orders; understanding and interpreting technical requirements; providing technical information and developing accounts in assigned territories (Assigned territories will include: )
