The Inside Insurance Sales Associate

As an Inside Insurance Sales Associate at Fortegra you will work towards the growth and retention of existing relationships in addition to acquiring new customers and generating revenue daily. The ideal person for this position is a mature go-getter, must want to be on commission and economically driven, experienced in sales, builds good relationships with customers, consistent, persistent, people-oriented, collaborative, follows script, makes repeat phone calls, well prepared for the phone call, patient and empathetic, listens and works within prospects’ budget, and asks for the close. This position will include, but not be limited to, the following duties and responsibilities:


Prospect for clients

· Use an outbound dialing system to contact potential customers who have created an online request for health insurance information.

· Get through front-end objections and effectively engage the customer.

· Give compelling reasons why the customer should consider using Fortegra as their insurance agency.

· Qualify the customer in terms of needs, expectations, budget, urgency, and ability to purchase.

Make effective sales pitches

· Provide value based solutions from a suite of individual health products, including health insurance, accident, critical illness, dental, vision, term life insurance

Follow up with pipeline sales prospects

· Make daily follow up calls, send follow up emails, ask for referrals, maintain contact records for an effective follow up system.

· Continue to work the sales pipeline with 3-5 follow up calls/contacts per prospect until each prospect is closed in a 21-day average sales cycle

Close pipeline sales

· Ask for the sale on each call! Inform the client about the enrollment process.

· Enter and save quotes in carrier websites then warm-transfer clients to the enrollment department for completing the applications.

· Update the customer information and carrier plans in the CRM.

Qualifications:

REQUIRED –

· High School diploma or equivalent

· Minimum three (3) years of sales experience, preferably in a consultative phone sales environment

· Pass a drug screen and background check

· Reside in the Portland, Oregon metro area

IN ADDITION –

· Current Oregon Health and Life License a plus

· Positive attitude with a desire to succeed

· Foremost developed personal skills – resiliency, time and priority management, interpersonal skills, customer focused, negotiation, flexibility, listening, multitasking and understanding others

· Excellent verbal, written and communication skills

· Strong proficiency with computers and software programs
