Reporting to the Maintenance Manager your challenges will be:
:Plan and schedule maintenance work for a paper machine shutdowns and supporting equipment.
:Maintain the CMMS up to date for work order activities, equipment history and equipment bills of materials.
:Evaluate parts and resources requirements for planned jobs.
:Work closely with contractors and suppliers
:Update the Key Performance Indicators for the maintenance department.
:Develop and manage the preventive maintenance program.
:Supervise maintenance mechanics(4)
:Train and coach hourly maintenance personnel on the work order system and on technical maintenance tasks.
:Fill:in for supervisor and/or department manager as needed.
:Also will be responsible for training maintenance employees on how to rebuild all types of pumps, gear boxes, machine shafts, machining applications Etc 13;

Help draw up the maintenance budget to meet the unit's business objectives 13;
Support his sector's objectives as a maintenance/reliability manager 13;

Ensure and/or facilitate the sector's adherence to its annual maintenance budget 13;
Follow best practices and ensure the efficiency and quality of the unit's maintenance/reliability operations 13;
Ensure operational excellence and eliminate issues by making recommendations to his manager 13;
Work with Production to coordinate and prioritize maintenance activities 13;
Support his unit's operational strategy 13;
Human Resources 13;
Help employees reporting to him to develop their skills and make sure they receive the necessary training to carry out their responsibilities 13;
Help maintain a positive work environment by walking the floor and fostering two:way communication 13;
Manage and engage his staff based on Cascades' values and business strategy 13;

Develop and maintain a healthy and safe work environment for all Cascades employees 13;

:Associates degree in technical field or significant work experience
:Six years in maintenance and maintenance planning.
:Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
:Strong computer skills. Experience with MS Project a plus.
:Knowledge of paper making equipment and maintenance processes and procedures.
:Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
:Ability to multitask and work in paper making and deinking facilities as well as converting facilities.
:Must be able to work in a team environment as well as function at a high level independently.
:Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office and AS400). Knowledge/experience working with SAP and/or AS400 preferred 13;
