We have an opening for a qualified Carpenter in the Portland area.

Position Summary:
In this Foreman-level role, you will be responsible for overseeing each carpentry job to completion, ensuring quality, safety and efficiency. Leads production employees on their crew. Supports the company’s management, purpose, mission, and values.

Duties / Responsibilities:

● Follow blueprints and building plans to meet the needs of clients
● Install structures and fixtures, such as windows and molding
● Measure, cut, or shape wood, plastic, and other materials
● Construct building frameworks, including footings, slabs, walls. This will require concrete pouring and finishing skills
● Inspect and replace damaged framework or other structures and fixtures
● Instruct and direct laborers and other installers
● Adhere to safety policies and procedures
● Communicates with the customer throughout the job to aid in understanding and satisfaction of work. Ensures that customer is aware of any changes to job before making any such change. ● Provides customers with business card and required paperwork at job completion.
● Reviews job specifications to determine materials, tools and equipment needed for the job, and loads the truck with materials.

Necessary Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

● 5+ years of carpentry and construction experience
● Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
● Ability to maintain 60 hour work week during busy seasons
● Physical ability to lift and exert force frequently
● Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen
● Excellent communication
● Regular and punctual attendance
