We have an immediate need for 2 Day Shift and 2 Swing Shift full-time MIG welders at our Troutdale plant. These are currently temporary positions, expected to last up to 90 days, with the potential to convert to regular full-time.These positions weld a variety of steel products following prescribed methods and using generally predetermined settings. Handles and positions materials in existing fixtures. Follows TSCO standards, policies and objectives. Work involves likelihood of irregularity and varying difficulty. Frequent exposure to tube lubricant and burrs on tubes.Skills/Experience Requirements:Minimum of 2 years of experience as a MIG welder, TIG is a huge plus.At least one year of experience in a metal fabrication environment.Must be able to do inspections. Must have passed or be able to pass Print Reading.Must have a general or working knowledge and some experience with ordinary and semi-complex equipment to be operated. Must be able to do minor weld and rotator machine adjustments, change weld wire, change weld tip, change gas, read and interpret work orders, read blueprints, use full scale drawings. Must have knowledge of inspection tool use. Must have a working knowledge of common, easy to recognize materials. Must be able to constantly sustain exertion and lifting of parts up to 25 lbs. Ability to occasional lift tooling components weighing 10 to 75 lbs. Continuous mental and visual attention and alertness is required.
