They include: custom-engineered curtain wall and window wall, architectural windows, storefront systems, doors, skylights and architectural glass.SummaryWe are currently hiring for a production worker for the cutting line at our Battle Ground, WA facility. The individual will be responsible for tracking inventory, handling rejects, identifying mechanical problems on the cutting line, communicating with production control and supervisors, and maintaining a neat, clean, and safe work area. This is a 1st shift position. Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesTransport of materials including glass from one position/location to another in an effort to expedite the production processOn/off-loading of the product from, tables, rolling racks, delivery trucks, or wood crates for eight or more hours, dailyAccurately tracking inventoryHandling rejected productIdentifying mechanical problems with the cutting lineCommunicating with production control, supervisors and cutting line personnel and follow standard operating proceduresMaintaining a clean work area, including cleaning the area around the control panels, cutting table, and computersUse the shop floor computer and use the cutting line computerCommunicating with Supervisors and work with maintenance to oversee preventative maintenance and repairsWorking a flexible starting schedule and/or overtime Regular and predictable attendance, safely perform tasks and adherence to all safety policies and procedures, including Critical Safety Rules, are essential functions of your jobRequirementsHigh School Diploma or GED equivalentMust be able to switch shifts/start times at any given time or as business dictates and work overtime as neededPreferences Ability to read and effectively use a tape measureUnderstand units of measurement and be able to perform general mathematical equations (numbers, fractions, and decimals)2 years' experience in manufacturing environmentRead, understand and communicate paperwork and labelsBasic computer skills and knowledgePhysical RequirementsMuscular, cardiovascular and upper/lower body manipulation is used to move the glass/object through the glass fabrication process (bending, twisting, and reaching). Gripping, cupping, clamping hand and wrist motions are required to support, carry, and maneuver glass/objects to platform heights of three feet in a manner considered safe for self and othersAbility to wear required safety equipment, including safety boots with metatarsal guards and stand for extended periods of timeAbility to lift, push and pull up to 75 lbs. unassisted and 150 lbs with a partner many times in a regular work shiftAbility to work in varied temperatures consistent with same climate conditions of the region (Heat, cold, humidity, etc.)QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
