Job ID: 120549 Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope(R), a division of Oldcastle, is the leading supplier of products specified to close the building envelope. They include: custom-engineered curtain wall and window wall, architectural windows, storefront systems, doors, skylights and architectural glass. Summary Our Battle Ground facility is looking for a Shipping & Receiving Lead in our Shipping Department. The responsibilities of the Shipping Lead / Forklift Operator are to oversee the Packers in the Shipping Department and to load/unload the product using the forklift. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Overseer of Packers in the shipping department Drive liquefied gas industrial truck equipped with lifting devices such as forklift, boom, lift beam and swivel hook, clamps, elevating platform Must be able to push, pull, lift, stack, tier or move products, equipment, or materials with the forklift or industrial truck Must maintain a clean and organized work area Inventories materials delivered to the shipping department Loads or unloads materials onto or off pallets, skids, or lifting device or trucks Fills fuel tank or replaces liquefied gas tank Oversees and follows the same duties as Packers Organize routine servicing and upkeep of machinery Responsible for carrying out inspections of various equipment Open for continuous improvement in mind Regular and predictable attendance, the ability to safely perform tasks, and adherence to all safety policies and procedures are essential functions of your job Requirements High School Diploma or GED equivalent Must have leadership qualities Must be able to work well with others Must be able to follow instructions Self- motivated and perform tasks with minimum supervision Able to work in difficult weather conditions Punctual and excellent attendance Be available for overtime and emergency work Be able to pass forklift certification Good problem-solving skills Basic computer skills Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 75 lbs unassisted many times in a regular work shift Muscular, cardiovascular and upper/lower body manipulation is used to move the glass/object through the glass fabrication process (bending, twisting, and reaching) Gripping, cupping, clamping hand and wrist motions are required to support, carry, and maneuver glass/objects to platform heights of three feet in a manner considered safe for self and others Able to wear approved steel toed boots with Metatarsal for a minimum of 8-10 hours on concrete floors Facility is subject to the same general climate conditions of the region (heat, cold, humidity, etc.) Preferences At least 2 years experience in manufacturing environment Ability to read and use a tape measure Understand units of measurement and be able to perform general mathematical equations Previous experience using power tools and hand held tools Read, understand, and communicate paperwork and labels Basic computer skills and knowledge Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
